In addition to my Engineering and Electrical background, I hold degrees in both Hotel and Restaurant Management from Florida International University and have been involved in the opening of numerous restaurants around the country including New York’s Hard Rock Café. While working there, I was asked by my step brother to help him open up what is now known as Lighting by Gregory, where I have remained since 1984.
I have a thirst for knowledge when it comes to lighting and regularly meet with manufacturers to see and learn about the newest products coming out. I also travel to the once yearly "Light Fair International" show (North America's largest annual architectural and commercial trade lighting show) and bring this knowledge back to my staff.
I work daily with anywhere from between 20 to 50 Designers, Architects and End users, both in person and on the phone. I am problem solving and helping clients to achieve their lighting goals.
My clientele reside from Bermuda to Boston, although most of my work is in the states of NY, NJ, CT and PA.
Written up in articles from The New York Times and Newsday to House Beautiful, I have amassed a private client list of well over 1500 residential and commercial projects. I’m on the Board of Directors of the Designers Lighting Forum of New York as well as a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.
